According to a Garmin survey AT&T might release the Nuvifone for $499 with required Unlimited Internet and Navigation and two year contract. The question asked in the survey was “How likely would you be to buy the Garmin Nuvifone if offered by AT&T for $499.99 with two year contract? You would be required to have both a data plan that would include unlimited Internet browsing and unlimited Navigation for $19.99 per month and one of the standard voice plans for a monthly fee.” The Garmin’s upcoming phone will have 3.5” touchscreen, HSDPA, WiFi, GPS, 3-megapixel camera and multimedia applications. From the survey it look like Garmin is trying to follow in the footsteps of Apple’s iPhone release last year. The problem is Garmin doesn’t have the following that Apple products enjoy neither has Nuvifone generated the kind of hip iPhone did.
