VMware announced the availability of VMware Fusion 2.0 public Beta 1. Fusion 2.0 adds support for multiple displays (up to 10 displays), experimental DirectX 9.0 Shader Model 2 3D acceleration, easier printing via Mac and shared folder improvements. The software also adds direct import of Parallels virtual drive, Virtual PC virtual drive or Boot Camp Partition to a VMware virtual machine. The Fusion 2.0 beta 1 is available is free download here and you can also watch videos of new features on the same page. As pointed out by VMware, Beta software can be prone to instability and bugs. Do not run beta software in mission-critical environments.
