MSI Wind 10” Mini-Notebook to be Launched in US on June 3rdSubmitted by lalit on May 13, 2008 - 6:51pm.
One of the first Intel Atom based mini-notebook “Wind” will be launched by MSI in US on June 3rd. MSI Wind will come in two screen sizes 8.9” and 10”, but only 10” model will be released in US. There will be two OS based models one with Linux and the other one with Windows XP. The Linux version will come with 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, Linux SUSE OS, 80GB hard drive, 512MB RAM, 1.3-megapixel webcam, WiFi b/g, 3 USB, 4-in-1 card reader and three cells battery that will last for 2.5hrs. The $399 laptop will measure 10.2” x 7.08” x 0.74” and weigh just 2.6 pounds. The Windows version will be almost identical except it will have 1GB RAM, Bluetooth, Six cells battery than will last 5.5 hrs and weigh 2.8 pounds. The Windows version will also cost more at $549. The mini-notebooks will be available in four colors Black, white, silver and pink.
