T-Mobile’s Chief Executive Officer Rene Obermann said today that the company has sold 100,000 iPhones since its launch in November 2007. T-Mobile is the exclusive iPhone provider in Germany. The company had announced at the end of January that they had sold 70,000 iPhones in first three months. According to Hamid Akhavan, a board member at T-Mobile, iPhone sales were “about in line” with the company’s internal targets. I think that the iPhone sales have lagged in Europe because it doesn’t support 3G and uses the slower EDGE connection for data. iPhone sales will rise in Europe as soon as Apple releases the 3G iPhone.
