Samsung announced on Friday that Samsung’s Soul designer phone sold over one million units in its first 30 days on market. Soul’s sales were limited to European countries only and have proved to be one of the most popular phones in Europe. iPhone when launched last year took 74 days to reach one million mark, it was only sold in US for first five months. iPhone launch was considered to be one of the most successful handset launch ever. The Soul sold 280,000 phones in UK making it one of the highest selling phone in one month in UK. Sales in Germany were also high at 150,000. Samsung will start selling the phone in Asian market this month and that should increase the sales. Apple will launch the iPhone 3G on July 11th in 22 countries and it will be interesting to see how many days or hours it takes the iPhone 3G to reach one million mark.
