O2 has starting accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 3G on its website. The bad news is they are already out of stock due to huge demand. The website now instructs users to come back on 10th July for more information. O2 will starting selling the iPhone on July 11th in their stores on first come first serve basis and will be only available for individuals signing up for a contract. Pay as you go service options for the iPhone will be available later this year (mostly by end of 2008).
In New Zealand, Vodafone has sent out an email informing their customers that the iPhone will be launched at 12:01 am on July 11th in three Vodafone stores. The stores that will carry the iPhone at 12:01 am are Queen St in Auckland city, Lambton Quay in Wellington and Colombo St in Christchurch. Other Vodafone stores will start selling the iPhone at 9:00 am through out the country. Vodafone will start taking online orders at 12:01 am on the same day. The company also informed customers that they will release complete price and plan details tomorrow at 10 am on its website.
